It seems to be quite impossible to express the sound of SLEEPWALK IN EL PASO from Recklinghausen in one word, because the band intends to combine different approaches of playing music. Of course, their sound is based on impulsive and energetic post-hardcore. But it is not a secret that the band also is open-minded about extending their spectrum and likes to explore new sounds. Without losing any intesity SLEEPWALK IN EL PASO puts the focus on quiet, melancholic and psychedelic parts, as well. Their inspiration from krautrock is worked out in unusual rhythms and beats and in psychedelic jams that regularly take place in their rehearsal room.
